Six is Sensational!!!!

My Baby girl is 6!!! YAY!!!!!
She is super excited about her birthday. She had a pre birthday party with her grandma Bingham and then opened some presents with us last night and then had cupcakes at school with her class and we are going to take her to Busch Gardens. Lucky girl :)
Here are a few pics of my little Ana bee. Let's just say..awwh.
Ana has been so much fun already:) ..she has literally swung from a chandelier..(long story), had multiple stitches....and been barrels of laughs..she is our little comedian for sure. I am just so grateful to have her in our family. She was definitely worth natural labor and bed rest :) Ana we love you bunches!!!!

Initiative

The power or ability to begin or to follow through energetically with a plan or task; enterprise and determination.

This is what both of my daughters apparently have lots of........... They were both picked as Star Students of the month for the category of having Initiative. Now yes they are very determined to do what ever they want and they can definite follow through with whining and fighting and begging and complaining and yes they are very energetic while they do these things.....so I guess they do have it. :) Kidding aside I was very proud of them for being chosen for having the initiative to do things w/o being asked, helping out their teachers, other students and just being good kids. Yay for them!!! And now I got them... every time I have to ask them to do something, I pull out their certificate and ask.."do you think the kid who got this would have to be asked to clean their room, pick up their shoes or brush their teeth"..so far it works like a charm. Chris thinks the certificates will go missing soon and suggested I hide them.

I was also grateful that that both teachers liked me soooooo much that they coordinated this award so that I could have two free kid meals, (which allowed me a night w/o cooking), two stickers for our car..one for me and one for dad and only one award pic with both kids in it. Prefect!! Convenient!!!! just totally awesome...

P.S. and no they did not do this for me :) it was totally random but I am pretending otherwise.

And little man has turned into a very whiny crybaby :( I hope it is his teeth etc or boy we are in for a long childhood. At least he is adorable and adores me, his sisters and dad. As long as one of us have him then all is well. Lucky for him we are all wrapped around his chubby little finger and pretty much jump when he cries. He is the superstar of the house....he is spoiled rotten.

We are FaMiLy and our crafty side

Family.....I love 'em and here are some things that make me know this is the right family for me.
Bookworms. On most given nights you will probably find us something like this....... we love to read..:)
And I love that my kids get so excited to go to the bookstore...they love to pick out books....and they are always thrilled to find out that yes.... they really get to keep this one!!!

The great outdoors!!!
this is where you will find the girls now.......! they love this playground right in front of our house. it has been FUN with this cooler weather.
on that note we also lovvve the outside..I sometimes (with this heat) wish my kids would just stay inside and watch TV or something :) (sorry to be so honest) but nope they always want to be on their bikes, playing soccer, golf, tennis, riding scooters, swimming or playing in the mud/water/or whatever else that makes a huge mess. But I am super grateful for their awesome examples...little man is following in his big sisters steps..
this is his fave new thing..riding bikes. He loves it!!! He also loves to stand up in his crib and refuse to go to sleep...yep he is definitely a BINGHAM kid. He now has also discovered all handles and what they do.......you should see his face when he gets something open. He also adores garbage and any type of bottle as long as it does not have formula in it..I will eventually get this child to quit breastfeeding...i hope. His new word is uh, oh and big surprise but he loves/adores his daddy but i am still number #1.
He is growing up way to fast.

Falling asleep on the couch.....almost every Friday night..this is at least one of our kiddos :)
Just Sadie weirdness...and fun :) ....I love my crazy kids and fun family...they are perfect for me.

We are also kinda crafty..here are some projects Chris and I have done..the wood ones were mostly him..but I did make the shelf :) We did a Table, shelf, Chalk board, and Halloween sign, and some pillows I recovered.

running just keep running

these were the words I repeated over and over as I did my morning run. I think I have come to the realization that I do not like to run but I also do not like all of this extra baby weigh so...running wins. Also I have to apologize...I logged on to my blog to lifts weights to the music on my playlist and unbeknown to me but some unsavory down right nasty lyrics had appeared to one of my songs....not cool...not sure how or when that happen but it is gone.

Tonight I was able to go to a baptism of one of my sweet primary kids. It is such a honor to be able to be there for such a special and sacred time. I always feel the spirit so strong when I see a baptism. I know that this little girl has made the right choice and will be greatly blessed. I also feel very blessed to have the restored gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. I am so grateful for my kids and for my husband who also has a strong testimony of Jesus Christ and helps us center our life on what is important. I am just grateful :)

Busy Bee

I have been a busy bee..not sure what is going on..I guess next week I will plan to just sit on the couch all week and read a few books. But I have been being a coupon fiend, a decorating wild woman, a primary program planning/calling/emailing president, a PTA membership chair aka Thank the Lord the membership drive is over and a semi-good/worn out no makeup, sweating from running around and trying to fit in working out mom and wife. Woo, that makes me tired just typing it..but that has been my life. and ahem..it is only Monday...*sigh* so the things I did....drum roll.... I decided to take all..(well most) of the stuff I stored in my garage and make it work. I have made a chalkboard menu sign that looks darling by our dining table. I made a Halloween sign for my entry way table. Worked on making frames aka asked my husband to make them for me :) Made an awesome shelf out of a free wood pallet and did a design for a coffee table top to fit over our ottoman...(the girls like to flip/tumble and jump all over it) so Chris is bringing my design to life.
Wyatt is being a little cranky. He has decided to start crawling all over the place and ruining my stuff. Glad he is cute.
Pic swill come as soon as everything is done..I still have pillows to sew, vinyl wall sayings to order, Halloween blocks to do etc etc.
So funny story..Ana has been getting into a little trouble at school. She pulled a stick aka that means trouble b/c she decided to go into the small bathroom located in her classroom and yell....quite loudly...she wanted to see what it sounded like...I guess from the teachers reaction it was loud. Oh brother..what to do with that child. I can not help but laugh or I will cry :) But I love her to pieces.
Sadie is doing well..loves school , she is singing in the chorus and is such a help to me...she is my little best friend. I think she is a 60 year old lady in her little body...so wise. I think she knows more than me sometimes. Well.....
Goodnight!!

Time to look for some cowboy boots

We went to Tennessee this last week so Chris could interview for a job there. It went very well. Great people and a great opportunity :)
It was in Middle Tennessee outside of Nashville. Lots of rolling Hills and beautiful trees. So green and so peaceful.
We all started off super excited....the girls have never been on a plane so they were about to bust. Ana, Wyatt and I sat together. Chris and Sadie sat in front of us. The girls excitement changed as soon as we started to ascend into the air...they were unprepared for the ear popping and pressure. But we kept the gum and water going to help. After about 5 minutes in the air Ana had to pee and then Wyatt went number 2. Changing a baby on a plane was an interesting experience. I feel so sorry for the man that was sitting next to me. He kept having to get up to let me out.
Best traveler so far was Wyatt though...... Did not cry at all, on either flight.

We were able to visit Franklin and see the awesome shops and the temple, and we went to Nashville and went to centennial park where a replicate of the Parthenon is built. We also ate at some yummy restaurants. Thanks Kirsten!! We loved the Mellow Mushroom!!
Minus the bumpy start, some throwing up, smoky hotel, rental car problems and a flat tire.....it was pretty dang awesome!! Here are some pics.

At airport waiting for our flight.
Girls playing old Maid to pass the time.

Tennessee county side.
Old cannon
Big Chair at the old Factory in Franklin. They took a factory from the 20's and made it into a small mall...so cute.

We just had to see the Parthenon.

At an old war monument.
The view from a hill outside of Franklin.

Old barn and silo.

I don't bite I promise!!!

Nursing is a wonderful thing!! I have been blessed to be able to nurse 2 of my three kiddos and I really like it. EXCEPT when my sweet little baby BITES ME! It was horrible. I yelled quite loudly which made him laugh and giggle and try to do it again soooo I had to flick him on the cheek which made him stick out his little lip and sob which in turn made me feel even worse...sigh.

Here are just some cute pics..
the darling car my dad got the Y-man. And a makeover by his adoring sisters. They said it was his rocker/punk look....??I am not sure they achieved their desired goal and he did not approved but hey it makes for a fun photo. Enjoy!

Game day

Go to fullsize image
We were able to go up to our old stomping grounds for the FSU/BYU game this weekend.
Go to fullsize image

And thanks to Chris's sister's, we got great FREE tickets...not the awesome air conditioned with free food box seats like they got...but hey free is free so no complaints from us.
We had a lot of fun and were able to hang with Chris' brother and wife. Good times!!!

We were also able to run into a bunch of friends up there. I think we saw half of our old Tally ward. And half of our ward here. It was great! You could bank on the fact that if the person had a blue shirt they were members and you probably knew them..well all except the bozo we saw at the very end..he was plastered and still drinking while sporting his BYU shirt and lots and lots of tattoos. I am thinking a bishop probably....or..... a stake president... J/k :)
......sadly my primary kids who I saw refused to hug me b/c I was sporting a sweet new FSU shirt and FSU accessories and my hair in Indian braids. But today after sacrament they said I had hopefully repented and now they would give me hugs...little did they know but I am still a FSU fan :) .......but I will say after sitting with the crowd we did I am seriously considering changing sides....All around us were snarky remarks about Mormons and Utah...what is the deal????
Little did they know that we were Mormons..so after a few comments..Chris and I had had enough and started saying little things back. They finally realized and started whispering ..I think they are BYU fans....alas ........nope.....just those crazy Mormons they were bashing. Good times.

But other than the drunk we saw I was super proud of those crazy Mormons!! All of us looked so nice.....not one string bikini out of the bunch. .... yes we did see some lovely FSU kids in theirs...and let's just say a stadium filled with 70 plus thousand crammed people..is not the place to wear a bikini.....just think sweat and leave it at that.
But I did hear that a bunch of my other friends had a completely different experience and their sections were totally awesome and welcoming to them. So there is hope for you good old Tallahassee. All in all a great weekend. My sweet sister kept my kiddos and Higgins did quite well being away from me so long and I did pretty good myself. I only texted her twice.
Sadly the only pics we have are on Chris's phone so the cute picture we have with Angie and Joe I can not post 'cause I do not know how...ah shucks.
But Go Noles!! and here is to great times with great friends and family. :)

Huston..we have teeth and movement!

We had been looking into baby dentures for Higgins since he eats table food already...yes I know it is a big surprise.....he looks so malnourished :) but it appears we will not have to....two little teethy's are making their way up in the bottom. This has blessed us with a fever, runny nose and over all a cranky baby. Oh JOY!
He is also now becoming more mobile. The girls are so excited to see him crawl..hopefully it will be soon. As of now he just goes backwards.

The best time of the year, Vocab lesson and Dr. Seuss

It is the best time of the yeeeeeeeeeear!!! (that is me singing :) ))..school started :)
My ladies are both in the same school at the same time! Yay! That means I drop them both off and pick them both up at the same time..genius! Sorry for the extreme excitement but I do not miss have to go to two different places at two different times.

Well so far life is good, the girls are doing well and so is Mom. Little bit continues to refuse to have me walk her to class.... sniff sniff. At least her older sister still humors me. Here are some pics of their first day.

Vocabulary lesson of the day!
We were driving in the car and discussing a possible move next year. I was telling the girls that we would be able to wear sweaters and scarfs again. Little bit speaks up and says to me well if we tried to wear that here it would be sweltering. My reply, "Yes it would."

We had a Who move in :)
After I purchased these and put them on I realized he looks like a Dr. Seuss character.

And to leave you with a Sadieism...
"Mom, I need water fast, I am so hot, I am sweating like a dog, no wait...like a pig".........

Just for the record neither of the above animals actually sweat..I will have to teach her to say horse instead!

Just thankful

So school started today and I will post about that next but first I need to play catch up.
Monday I spent most of my day at the school selling PTA memberships, helping with money and volunteer forms and squeezing in a quick meeting with the girls teachers.
The day started off with tons of bad omens, Ana and Sadie fighting, trashing the house and breaking glasses on the floor and Wyatt crying consistently. Me forgetting to make cookies that I needed to bring that morning and picking up my babysitter and spacing and going the wrong way around the round about and almost crashing..let's just say I was about to cry......

This was me :)

Now to the cool part....sometime last week I was having a pity party about the fact that since my mother had died, my girls would not get that special fun bonding/spoiling experiences from their grandmother. No shopping trips, girls only lunches, or just days with my mom etc etc. But Chris reminded me of all I had to be grateful for and I moved on or tried to.

Well I got an invite from this amazing friend of mine on Sunday to take my girls out to lunch and a little girl shopping time before school starts. She is a very beautiful, sweet and giving person.

....So on this horrible day she picks up my girls and takes them on as they quoted " The best day of their life". She spoiled them shamelessly and made them feel so very special.
I am so very grateful for this in ways she does not even know. It was exactly what I wished for...
I felt the spirit and knew that Heavenly Father was saying see I do understand you for feeling sad and wanting for your girls to have your mom here to spoil them. But that can not happen so instead I will send someone else who does love them.
So thank you Kirsten from the bottom of my heart! I only hope one day I can be the answer to someone else's deepest prayer :)

Blessing number two and three... coming home from this very long day at school to a very sweet girl babysitting Wyatt. Picture this...her rocking him and him deep asleep in her arms, facing outwards with his mouth wide open. precious!
#3 my sweet friend Lindsay for taking my girls home from the meet and greet until I could pick them up! The next best part of their day. They told me their day was the best ever and they will never ever forget it....neither will their mom. :)

Pictures :)

So Brian and Kelly's Lakeland reception was this past weekend. I was able to help out a little and do the flowers for the shin dig. I was super nervous and hoped that I would not totally mess them up! I got really lucky and received lots of help. I think they turned out pretty nice.
We had a great time with Chris's family. Brian and Kelly are awesome and as soon as I get some of their pics you will see them..they both look like GQ models..they are entirely way to gorgeous...and sweet and perfect for each other!!!!

Mike and Linda had these pics taken..she brought me the disk tonight and I am in love!! They are adorable!! Some need to be cropped etc but they are so sweet!!! Here is a quick look.

A little pain in the Back, skydiving and the comb over

Go to fullsize image
This has been me the last few days. I did something to my back and instead of resting and taking it easy, I pulled sod, cleaned and took the kiddos to Busch Gardens. So on Sunday after hobbling around on 2 inch heels and the meds were no longer working, my husband decided to check it out. I guess I have done something to my lower back muscles which are doing something to my sciatic nerve or something like that. So thanks to some serious muscles relaxers and my good ole trusty heating pad I can walk around w/o limping and I am feeling better :) Let's just say..back pain is a beast and I am very grateful that I usually do not have it and will not miss it when it is gone.

Go to fullsize image
This may be one of the only pics you see of a baby crawling on here..'cause Higgins does not want to move unless of course it is being carried, bounced or rocked by me... When I put him on the floor this is what he does...
Go to fullsize image
so if he ever falls out of a plane he is ready but to crawl...not so much.

I can not tell if it is b/c he weights a ton or and he is just lazy....does it really start this early with boys??? but I did catch him on his knees in his crib so I know he can do it. Now i am just trying to decide do I want him to be mobile???

The Comb Over
Higgins has a serious comb over with a ting of alfalfa. I am trying to decide what to do...Cut it or try and tame it and wait until it all evens out. The problem is how it grows..straight down the middle towards the front and the back either sticks up or curls. I think it is called a suitcase handle or something like that. That is Bingham verbage so do not quote me on it :)

Just some Stuff!

Just call me Higgins!
Chris walked out this morning and saw Wyatt's outfit and said he looked like that old guy from Magnum PI...Higgins...I do see the resemblance...I guess Wyatt has a new nickname!!!

The gospel according to Sadie :)
So I was taking Sadie and her friend to a B-day party this morning. I had gotten Sadie a new swim suit at her fave store Justice and it only cost 7 dollars!!!! So sweet. There are still a few left if you all are interested....
The small issue is that when she jumps around it comes up a little on her stomach. We usually do not do tankini's for this reason so this was a huge concern for her. She wants to be super modest...yay for us!!! So as we were driving to the party she was telling her friend all about the new suit and that it occasionally rides up etc. She says to her..you know how I am so concern about modesty..well that means I am a good member of the church...:) hee hee:) .... they then proceed to discuss baptism. She tells her friend you know how when we play Moshi monster together?? Her friend say yes...
Sadie replies "Well my mom and dad like brought me a membership so I get a few more benefits of the game well that is like baptism, you still get to play before you are baptized but once you are baptized you get a lot more cool stuff .
So Lindsay and James..no thanks necessary! Sophie is now completely ready for her baptism :)

Never send a man to do a woman's job!!!
I asked Chris to help the girls pick out new earrings for the upcoming school year b/c I had to go and feed Wyatt in the car. Well when they came out this is what I saw.....

bling here we come..
I screeched..you can not have a 5 year wear these to school..his reply.."why not???"... men!

I feel crafty!!!
I decided to copy my friend Caroline's tutorial on her blog about making these flowers..they are super easy and look great. I am embellishing these dresses for Kelly and Brian's wedding. These are her colors and both girls wanted to have different ones so it worked well.
I am quite pleased with how they looked!! Thank you Caroline!!!!!
